US Rowing offers Level I, II and III coaching certification programs, plus special certifications for Masters, Coastal, Adaptive and Indoor.

As an example, to obtain a Level I coaching certification, you must complete the self-paced, online course, plus the following:

  • USRowing Membership (Basic or above)

  • Adult CPR

  • First Aid 

  • Boating Safety License

  • Background Check 

  • SafeSport 

  • Mentor hours (10 hours for Level 1)
