Hello NMRC!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible Moms out there!

Thank you to our amazing members who helped unload the trailer and rig several boats on Saturday! Thank you also to those who raked the park and loaded leaves and debris in Randy’s front loader for disposal. It was a fun and productive day!

Below is a quick reminder of important deadlines this week and a reminder to sign up for our second rigging day on May 17 at Solon Township Park. If you missed the first rigging day, don’t worry! There is still more to do!

RIGGING - ALL HANDS ON DECK!

We will be rigging more boats at Solon Township Park on May 17 from 10 am to 3 pm. Please sign up on iCrew so we can be confident we have enough hands to move boats.

Bring your personally labeled rigging tools!

COXSWAINS NEEDED

If you are interested in getting a valuable new perspective and have a few years of rowing under your belt, consider becoming a coxswain. There is no better way to learn the impact of every body in the boat than to run the coach’s drills facing the bow and witnessing how every oar hits the water. It will improve your rowing and it is an incredibly appreciated service to the club.

Please reach out to Mindy if you are interested at mindy@northernmichiganrowing.club or 231-714-7457.

Organized Team Sweep Boats- All experienced rowers, please contact Mindy@northernmichiganrowing.club or 231-714-7457 to get a boat organized for the season. We have members wanting to form boats but we need more to fill them! While there is always opportunities to be a sub in the boats, we want everyone to sweep row who wants to sweep row. Commitment is seasonally for 6-8 weeks.
