May 6, 2025
Hello NMRC!
We had an excellent turn out last week at our member meeting/potluck. We welcomed a promising group of new rowers, many of whom participated in winter training and who are eager to get on the water in our focused novice program! Thank you to all who could attend. We look forward to seeing everyone at one or both of our upcoming rigging sessions on May 10 and May 17!
BE AN EARLY BIRD!
Don’t miss our early bird membership deal of $450 for the full 2025 rowing season available until May 15! For all membership payment options, click here:

RIGGING - ALL HANDS ON DECK!
We will be doing spring clean up and rigging boats at Solon Township Park on May 10 and 17, from 10 am to 3 pm. Please sign up on iCrew so we can be confident we have enough hands to move boats.
Randy will be grilling brats for us on May 10 to keep us fueled up. Bring your own beverages!
Bring your personally labeled rigging tools and a rake, tarp or other essential spring yard cleaning tools!
NEW NMRC MECHANDISE IS NOW AVAILABLE!
Time to get your new NMRC shirts, hats and more at:
https://www.threadscustomgear.com/nm-rowing-club-fangear/
Our store is open for orders until May 14. Orders can be shipped directly to you or picked up at Threads located on Cass St south of S. Airport Rd.
We hope to offer another purchase window mid-summer, but if you plan to race, order now! Our regatta uniforms will be the blue short sleeve or blue long sleeve performance shirts with the addition of our name on the back so people know who is passing them!
COXSWAINS NEEDED
If you are interested in getting a valuable new perspective and have a few years of rowing under your belt, consider becoming a coxswain. There is no better way to learn the impact of every body in the boat than to run the coach’s drills facing the bow and witnessing how every oar hits the water. It will improve your rowing and it is an incredibly appreciated service to the club.
Please reach out to Mindy if you are interested at mindy@northernmichiganrowing.club or 231-714-7457.
