Fall rowing is some of the most beautiful so be sure to sign up for and sign in on iCrew for our Fall Season! If the weather cooperates, maybe there will be another moonlight row!
REGATTA RECAP
NMRC rowers made it to Grand Rapids and Marquette for the Beer City Sprints and the Iron Oars Regatta in August. Unfortunately, the Iron Oars Regatta was cancelled due to high winds, but our NMRC members improvised adventure and braved diving into Lake Superior and spelunking along the rocky shoreline. Photos below!
At Grand Rapids, NMRC’s rowers brought home an array of medals, including several golds and silvers. Way to represent!
If you haven’t signed up yet, there is one more local regatta opportunity on September 13, The Henley on the Boardman. Details below.
Upcoming Regatta
There’s still time to sign up for the Henley on the Boardman (TACR); Traverse City MI on September 13! This is a super fun 1000 meter sprint race suitable to all levels of rowers. Come get a taste for regatta life! Click the link below and sign up by Friday August 29.

Novice Program
Congratulations to our novice rowers who rowed at the Beer City Sprints in Grand Rapids and attended the U.P. excursion!
Volunteer Corner
Thank you to our NMRC members who volunteered for the Cedar Polka Fest and stayed after rowing on Tuesday night to help unload the trailer and rig some boats! Our next volunteer opportunity is October 4 from 7 am to 2 pm for the Sleeping Bear Marathon. This will be our third year assisting, mostly cheering, runners as they come down the home stretch of the course. It’s a fun day.

DONATIONS ALWAYS WELCOME!
We are a volunteer, member run 501c3 and depend on donations to sustain our club. Membership fees go toward overhead costs and staff (coaches/coxswains). All else is supported by the generous donations of our community.
NMRC is now registered to receive donations via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from Fidelity Charitable. So if you have investments with Fidelity, it is easier and more secure to make donations to NMRC!
